From August 24th to the 26th, the international AIAG Working Group on Livestock Insurance came together in Hanover to exchange views on the global animal disease situation and its impact on agriculture, animal health, and the insurance sector.
Dr. Felix Garlipp, the Head of Product and Portfolio Management at Uelzener Versicherung and President of the Working Group, led the event. This year’s discussions focused on the pressing challenges of animal welfare and sustainability in livestock farming.
In addition to the in-depth professional exchange, participants also gained valuable practical insights during visits to the Equine Clinic at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover and a local farm in the region.
The open dialogue with colleagues from different countries highlighted how much we can learn from each other's perspectives. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Hannover Re as host and all the organizers who made this fruitful international exchange possible.
