TAIAN Agricultural Risk Management Forum
On August 22 and 23, the annual TAIAN Agricultural Risk Management Forum was held in Rizhao, China, bringing together representatives from ministries, regulatory agencies, academia, technology and the insurance industry. Under the theme "Pooling Wisdom for Precise Risk Management, Improving Agricultural Quality and Productivity" topics such as risk management, climate change, product design, underwriting, claims settlement and new technologies were discussed.
At the invitation of the AIAG member China Pacific Property Insurance Co Ltd (CPPIC), an AIAG delegation participated in the forum. Pascal Forrer (President AIAG), Rainer Langner (AIAG Board- Vereinigte Hagel), Daniele Caceffo (AIAG Board- Generali) and Gwénaël Simon (Groupama) were able to provide an international perspective in their presentations, which was much appreciated by the organizers and the approximately four hundred participants.
The discussions with CPPIC's senior management and the further dialog with participants revealed a strong interest in AIAG, in the constantly growing Chinese market and Asian markets in general.
